Day 1 Arrive Delhi-Shimla (09 hours train approx.)

Arrive at New Delhi Railway Station to meet our representative and later, we will board an air conditioned chair car train to Kalka- Himalayan Queen. On arrival at Kalka, we will change the trains and continue a joyride in the toy train from Kalka to Shimla. This train ride is one of the most scenic ones and you wouldn’t want to miss even a moment of thrill. After arrival in Shimla and check in, head out for a walking tour on Mall Road.

Day 2 Shimla

After having breakfast, we will hike to Jakhu Temple. Witness the beauty of the city through the clouds atop the hill. Descend back into the town and visit a Viceregal Lodge. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 3 Shimla-Sarahan Village (05 hours approx.)

Get ready for a fairly long drive after breakfast. Enjoy great views of the mountains, ditches and valleys, rivers and streams mingling into each other, several smaller towns and villages and a zigzag ride. Stop at a local restaurant for lunch and after reaching this scenic and peaceful village of Sarahan, retire to beds.

Day 4 Sarahan Village

Start your day with a hot breakfast and head towards Shri Bhima ji Kali Mandir- a temple dedicated to Goddess Kali. Later, explore Daranghati Wildlife Sanctuary. You will be able to spot pheasants such as Monal, Tragopan, Koklas and Kalij. Also some of the common animals found here are Musk deer, Goral and Thar.

Enjoy a joy ride and after a thrilling day return back to the accommodation for a restful night in Sarahan Village. 

Day 5 Sarahan Village-Sangla (03 hours approx.)

This morning after breakfast, head out to an uber scenic town close to Tibetan border- Sangla. It is also the gateway to last village on Indian-Tibetan border, Chitkul. After arrival and check in into a warm and cozy guesthouse proceed to visit a monastery nearby, Kamru Fort, Bering Nag Temple and a Tibetan wood carving centre. Rest of the day is free for you to indulge in an utter pleasure of exploring on your own after breakfast. You may choose to hike, mountain climbing, rappelling, river crossing, etc. or go for an excursion to Chitkul, Baspa Dam at your own expense.

Day 6 Sangla-Kalpa-Nako (05 hours approx.)

After breakfast, proceed for Kalpa. A town nestled between the snow capped mountains offering spectacular views. Visit the Brelengi Gompa, Chandika Devi Temple and Narayan Nagini Temple. You might also get a glimpse of Kinnaur Kailash if lucky. Later, proceed further to Nako Village. On arrival, check in and unwind in the pristine environment. You may choose to take a hike to Nako lake.

Day 7 Nako

Today after breakfast, visit the Nako Gompa and enjoy a walking tour of the village. Located on the Indo-China border, the village is less or not accessible during peak winters. Meet a local family for home cooked lunch and learn about traditional cuisine and culture. Rest of the time is free. You may opt for guided hiking or simply relax.

Day 8 Nako-Tabo (02 hours approx.)

This morning after breakfast, we will head further north across the Spiti river to the town of Tabo. Inaccessible during winters, this quiet town is home to Tabo caves- an archaeological heritage site and Tabo Monastery. After arrival and check in, visit these and spend the rest of the time at leisure. You may choose to hike and witness magical sunset views in the evening.

Day 9 Tabo-Kaza (01 hour approx.)

After breakfast, proceed to the gem of a place in Spiti valley alongside the bank of river Spiti-Kaza. On arrival, check in and get ready for a full day of adventurous exploration. Visit the Langza Buddha Statue, the local market of Kaza, Sakya Tangyud Monastery and the cold desert of the valley.

Day 10 Kaza-Manali (05 hours approx.)

Today after breakfast we will head off to Manali. After arrival and check in, proceed for a walking tour on Mall road. Rest of the time is free.

Day 11 Manali

This morning after breakfast, visit the Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple and the very impressive Rohtang Pass. The day is filled with activities of so much thrill and excitement. Walk through the pine trees, play on snow, witness old architecture and lose yourself in the lap of nature with your beloved. Later, you may choose to explore the Tibetan market and visit Monasteries or simply relax at the hotel.

Overnight stay in Manali. 

Day 12 Manali-Naggar (01 hour approx.)

After breakfast head towards Naggar. On arrival, visit Naggar Castle- an architectural marvel of wooden structures. This is also a very popular place for Dussehra Festival Celebration and site for movie shoots such as ‘Jab We Met’- a bollywood movie. After learning about the place, visit Gauri Shankar Temple, Tripura Sundari Temple and Nicholas Art Gallery. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Overnight stay near Naggar. 

Day 13 Naggar-Rewalsar (04 hours approx.)

We will drive to another quaint town located beside the lake after breakfast, Rewalsar. Spell binding views and mist laden sir awaits your arrival. After arrival, check in and visit Gurudwara Rewalsar Sahib, Rewalsar Monastery and Guru Rinpoche statue. Spend rest of the time walking beside the lake, going for a hike, exploring the local market or simply unwinding in the warmth of the hotel.

Overnight stay in Rewalsar. 

Day 14 Rewalsar-Dharamshala (05 hours approx.)

Another day of fairly long drive after breakfast. Enjoy the scenes of countryside, the mountains and rivers and several small villages with apple and orange orchards until we arrive in Dharamsala. On arrival, check in and rest well for a thrilling day tomorrow.

Day 15 Dharamsala

Wake up to see spectacular views of the Dhauladhar range and enjoy breakfast. Later, visit the Norbulingka Monastery and the Doll Museum, Dharamsala stadium, St. John Church, H.H. Dalai Lama’s residence, Bhagsunag Temple and Waterfall. You may choose to spend the rest of the time shopping for tibetan artefacts or trying tibetan cuisine.

Overnight stay in Dharamsala. 

Day 16 Dharamsala-Amritsar (05 hours approx.)

This morning after breakfast, head off to the capital city of Punjab-Amritsar. On arrival, check in and proceed to witness the very famous ‘Change of Guards Ceremony’ at the Wagah Border. Feel the patriotism in the air and pumped up youths and soldiers. After the ceremony return back to Amritsar and rest of the time is at leisure.

Day 17 Amritsar-Delhi (07 hours train approx.)

Today after breakfast we will visit the utterly beautiful and blissful Sikh Temple- ‘The Golden Temple’. Learn about Sikhism and their culture while walking through the premises. Also visit ‘Jallianwala Bagh’- where mass massacre happened on the order of Acting Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer on the festival of ‘Baisakhi’. Walk through the colorful streets to explore more and visit the Partition Museum and past by Khairuddin Mosque. Head back to the Golden Temple during lunch time. You may choose to help and serve in the community kitchen which provides free of cost meals to anyone who wants to come and eat. Also, break a bread during ‘langar’ as the lunch of the community kitchen is called. Rest of the day is at leisure. You may choose to buy some colorful scarves adorned with hand embroidery called ‘Phulkari’, or handmade shoes known as ‘Jutis’, and many more things. Later, we will depart to board a train to Delhi.

Trip ends with arrival at New Delhi railway station.
