Itinerary:

Day 1 Delhi-Amritsar (6.5 hours approx.)

Arrive at New Delhi railway station to meet our representative, and board an air conditioned chair car train to the capital city of Punjab, Amritsar. Hot breakfast will be served onboard (depending on the covid-19 situation) Enjoy the scenes of the countryside and take a chance to interact with the locals onboard. Post arrival and check in, unwind. Later, head out to witness the very famous ‘Change of Guards Ceremony’ at the Wagah Border. Feel the patriotism in the air and pumped up youths and soldiers. After the ceremony return back to Amritsar and rest of the time is at leisure.

Day 2 Amritsar

Today after breakfast we will visit the utterly beautiful and blissful Sikh Temple- ‘The Golden Temple’. Learn about Sikhism and their culture while walking through the premises. Also visit ‘Jallianwala Bagh’- where mass massacre happened on the order of Acting Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer on the festival of ‘Baisakhi’. Walk through the colorful streets to explore more and visit the Partition Museum and past by Khairuddin Mosque. Head back to the Golden Temple during lunch time. You may choose to help and serve in the community kitchen which provides free of cost meals to anyone who wants to come and eat. Also, break a bread during ‘langar’ as the lunch of the community kitchen is called. Rest of the day is at leisure. You may choose to buy some colorful scarves  adorned with hand embroidery called ‘Phulkari’, or handmade shoes known as ‘Jutis’, and many more things.

Day 3 Amritsar-Pragpur (03 hours approx.)

After breakfast proceed to a town famous for a heritage village, Pragpur. On arrival, check in and head out for a walking tour. Learn about the Heritage Hotel- The Judges Court, The Museum and an old house, a temple and common pond with an old post office and some deforested jungle trail for spectacular views of the Dhauladhar Range of the Himalayas. Later, leave for Dada Siba Shrine. You may also visit Chintpurni, Chamunda Devi and Jwalamukhi Temples on your own. Our representative/guide can help you to make arrangements.

Return back to your accommodation for overnight stay in Pragpur. 

Day 4 Pragpur-Dharamsala (03 hours approx.)

This morning after breakfast we will depart for the city home to H.H. Dalai Lama’s seat in exile- Dharamsala. Enjoy the scenes of countryside, the mountains and rivers and several small villages with apple and orange orchards until we arrive in Dharamsala. On arrival, check in and visit the Norbulingka Monastery and the Doll Museum, Dharamsala stadium, St. John Church, H.H. Dalai Lama’s residence, Bhagsunag Temple and Waterfall. You may choose to spend the rest of the time shopping for tibetan artefacts or trying tibetan cuisine.

Day 5 Dharamsala

A free day for you after breakfast to enjoy this city to its fullest. You may choose to take a short hike by the Bhagsunag Waterfall or towards Triund peak, explore more of the nearby villages or seek blessings on another visit to H.H. Dalai Lama’s residence, shop around for Tibetan dresses and incesenses, etc. Overnight stay in Dharamsala. (B)It is a gateway to some amazing treks and fantastic views of the Dhauladhar range. On arrival, check in and head out to explore the town on foot. Walk through the Garam Sadak, visit St. Francis and St. John’s church, also visit Laxmi Narayan temple and shop in the throbbing market streets. Rest of the day is free.

Day 6 Dharamsala-Palampur (01 hour approx.)

Today after breakfast we will drive to a lesser visited tea estate hill town of Palampur. Enjoy spectacular views of the majestic Himalayas enroute and in Palampur. After arrival and check in, head out for a walking tour and enjoy a tea garden visit and later to Jakhni Mata Temple. Learn about the art of cultivating and plucking tea leaves. Enjoy a perfectly and freshly brewed cup of tea. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 7 Palampur- Manali (5.5 hours approx.)

This morning after enjoying hot breakfast we will drive to Manali. A long but scenic drive will keep you entertained. After arrival, check in and relax. Later head out for a walking tour on Mall road. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 8 Manali

Today after breakfast we will proceed to visit the Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple and the very impressive Rohtang Pass. The day is filled with activities of so much thrill and excitement. Walk through the pine trees, play on snow, witness old architecture and lose yourself in the lap of nature with your beloved.

Day 9 Manali-Keylong (3.5 hours approx.)

This morning after breakfast we will drive to the utterly scenic town of Keylong. Nestled in the lap of Himalayas, the town speaks of pure serenity and is adorned with few notable monasteries. After arrival and check in visit Kardang Monastery, Shashur Gompa and Tribal Museum of Keylong.

Day 10 Keylong

Today after breakfast, the day is free for you to explore the scintillating surroundings on your own.

Day 11 Keylong-Sarchu (4.5 hours approx.)

After breakfast we will head off forward north to Sarchu. This town is the gateway to Ladakh. On arrival you are free to explore the surroundings on your own.

Day 12 Sarchu-Leh (6.5 hours approx.)

This morning after breakfast, head towards the capital city of Ladakh- Leh. You will enjoy an uber scenic ride across the mountains and gaining altitude. On arrival, check and relax. Get acclimatized.

Day 13 Leh

Wake up early if you wish to be spellbound by the beauty of sunrise. Watch the sky light up and the Himalayas turn golden as the rays hit the towering peaks. Get acclimatized through a few exercises and later relish hot breakfast and lose yourself in the lap of nature. Visit the Leh palace, Jama Masjid, Soma Gompa, Shanti Stupa and Sankar Gompa. Later, enjoy a walking tour in Lokol- the local market.

Day 14 Leh

After breakfast head to visit Likir Gompa, Alchi Monastery, Rizong Gompa and Lamayuru Gompa. Be amazed at these beautiful gompas and monasteries sitting in the lap of Himalayas and the chill of breeze as it touches your face. Later, head back and visit Shey Palace and Thiksey Monastery. After a long day of exploration, retire back into the comforts of your warm accommodation.

Day 15 Leh

Get ready for another long day after breakfast. Enjoy great views of the mountains, ditches and valleys, rivers and streams mingling into each other, several smaller towns and villages and a zigzag ride. Visit the Nubra Valley and Diskit Gompa.

Day 16 Leh-Delhi (1.5 hours flight approx.)

Start your day with a hot breakfast and head towards the airport for a flight back to Delhi. Trip ends with arrival in Delhi.
