Kalpa is situated on the banks of Sutlej River in Himachal Pradesh in Kinnaur District and is the base of Kinnaur KailashMountains which are famous for its snow-capped peaks. The apple orchards of Kalpa are very famous and are a major cash crop for the region. The regionaround Kalpa has been inhabited from ancient times and there are a lot ofold and small villages and ancient temples in the region. The winters are long in the region and the temperature drops as low as -15 to -20 degree Celsius, hencethe best time to visit is during summers. Some famous places near Kalpa areReckong Peo, which is headquarters of Kinnaur district and is just 8 km from Kalpa, and Chanadika Devi temple which is located in Kothi.

Kinnaur Kailash

Some of the best views of Kinner Kailash range of Himalayas It is one of the most beautiful mountain in the Kalpa, Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, having the height of 6050 meters. It considered as one of the most sacred mountain for Hindus as well as Buddhist. From Kapa offers the breathtaking view of Kinnaur Kailash, which is the prime attraction of this town.

Roghi Village

Roghi Village is located at the distance of about 4kms from the Kalpa, Roghi Village is one of the most beautiful village of the region. Here you will experience the culture and traditions of Kalpa along with amazing scenic beauty. Suicide Point Kalpa

Narayan-Nagini Temple

Narayan-Nagini temple is located on the top of a hill at Chini Village, Narayan-Nagini temple is one of the major attractions of the village. The temple was built in traditional Tibetan Pagoda style of architecture. 

Sangla Valley

Sangla Valley is located at the distance of about 39kms from Kalpa, Sangla Valley is one of the most beautiful and small town in the Kinnaur District of Himachal Pradesh. The town is situated on the banks of river Bapsa at an elevation of around 8900 ft above sea level. The valley is surrounded by streams, snowcapped mountains and lush green landscapes.
