Description :

Kasauli is picturesque hill station of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated in Solan district of Himanchal Pradesh and is a small cantonment town built by the British in 1842 as a colonial retreat for British Army officers. Within 100 km from this hill station are the major cities like Shimla, Ambala and Chandigarh which all are. Amidst the forests covered with Himalaya oaks, pine, chestnut tree offering excellent opportunity for adventurous tourists to go for trekking. There are many tourist attractions to see around Kasauli. Dagshai is a famous hill that is located in the Shivalik foothills and of the oldest British cantonments in India that was built in the year 1846. Some other famous places to visit in Kasauli are Sunset Point, Christ Church, the Mall, Monkey Point, Baba Balak Nath Temple, Baptist Church etc. Visitors can engage in nature walks through the Mall streets. It offers numerous shopping options and one of the busiest regions for tourists.

Sunset Point

Sunset Point is one of the major magnificent attraction of Kasauli, which us also known as Lover's Lane. The Sunset pint is situated at the Upper Mall, at the distance of about 100 mts from the Kasauli Club.

Monkey Point

Monkey Point is situated at the distance of about 4kms from bus stand, Monkey Point is the highest point of the town. It offers the splendid view of Chandigarh region and the river Sutlej flowing through the valleys. You may also get a spectacular glimpse of 'ChoorChandni', the highest peak of the Lower Himalayan belt. 

The Mall

The Mall is one of the most popular attraction and shopping hub of the town. Here you can find lots of shopping options such as local handicrafts, jewellery items, wood and metalwork, woolen items, Tibetan carpets and various delicious food-items at the Lower Mall. 

Christ Church

Christ Church is situated at the Mall road, Christ Church is one of the most popular attraction of kasauli.  It was founded during 1842.  Dedicated to St. Francis and St. Barnabas, the Anglican Church was constructed in the year 1884. The Church isdevoded to St. Francis and St. Barnabas.

Central Research Institute

Central Research Institute is built in the year 1905 during British rule, Central Research Institute is one of the major attractions of Kasauli, which is offers the courses of diligent research and development activities

Gurka Fort

Gurka Fort is situated at 27 km from Kasauli in the cantonment town of Subathuat an elevation of 1,437 mts above sea level.Gurka Fort is one of the most popular fort of this region. The fort was established in the early 19th century by Gurkha’s, who wished to hold strong position in the region.

Timber Trail

Timber Trail is located at the distance of about 20 Kms from Kasauli, Timber Trail is an one of the most popular attraction of this region. Lies on the lap of the Shivalik range, atop two adjacent hills and joined together with a cable car. The resort is surrounded by lush green hills which offers the picturesque beauty of nature and comfort.

Bon Monastery

Bon Monastery is also known as Yung Drung Ling, the Bon Monastery is situated at about 53Kms from Kasauli. It is the second oldest monastery in the world after the one present in Tibet.
