Narkanda is a small town located in district of Shimla, Himanchal Pradesh. Located on NH22, it is located at an elevation of 2708 meters. The region is covered with Shivalik range and is popular for skiing during winters. The region is only 65 km from Shimla and is well connected via road. Some of the places to visit in around Narkanda are Hatu Peak, which is the highest peak in Shimla, acts as a popular destination among tourists, Thanedhar, which is famous for its apple orchids, Jallori Pass and Mahamaya Temple.

Mahamaya Temple

It is the highest point of Narkanda, which is known for its amazing scenic beauty and Hatu Temple. It is located at 7kms from the main town and one can reach there only through trekking. The peak is located at an approximate height of 3400 m from sea level which surrounded by breath-taking snowcapped mountains. It is one of the most popular hiking destination of this region among the adventure lovers.
Thanedhar
Situated at about 17 kms away from Narkanda, Thanedhar is known for its apple orchards which is called as Stokes Farm. Apple cultivation in this region was started by Stokes and the farm was named after him. The golden apples in this town is world known.
Jallori Pass
Located at around 88km away from Narkanda, Jallori Pass is one of the most picturesque tourist attraction of the region. It is situated at an elevation of 3550 m from the sea level.
Kufri
Located at the distance of 47 km from Narkanda, Kufri is a small hill station in Shimla district. It is situated at a height of 8,600 ft above the sea level, Kufri is popular for the local winter sports center.
Jakhu Temple
Located at about 58kms from the town, Jakhu Temple is one of the most popular temple of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated at an altitude of 2455 meters above the sea level on the top of the Jakhu hill. The temple is devoted to lord Hanuman.
