Sarahan is a small hamlet located in Kinnaur district of Himanchal Pradesh. The village is situated old Indo-Tibetan border road. Sarahan was once part of Bushahr kingdom and was their summer capital. The village is located at an elevation of about 2300 meters and is 170 kilometres from Shimla. The summers are pleasant, and winters are very cold due to its altitude. Apple Orchids are found in the region due to suitable temperature for its growth. The village is known for Bhimkali Temple is one of 51 Shakti Peethass dedicated to Goddess Durga. The pictography and artwork in the temple tells that the temple dates to the Kushan period which existed from 1st to 3rd centuries CE. There are many other tourist attractions in the villages some of them being King's and Queen's Palace which is situated beside the Bhimkali temple, Pheasantry, which holds Western tragopan birds also known as Jujurana, which is also state bird of Himanchal, and Hawa-Ghar

Bhimakali Temple
It is one of the holiest temple of Himachal Pradesh, located at Sarahan. The temple is dedicated to mother goddess Bhimakali, known as the "Kuldevi" (presiding deity) of former princely state of Bushahr. The BimaKali temple is concerned to be one of 51 Shakti Peethass. The temple is must visit attraction of this region as it houses both Hindu and Vajrayāna Buddhist statues and the decorations of the temple reflect the true essence of the ancient Indo- Tibetan trade here. The temple complex is also a home to three temples dedicated to Lord Raghunathji, Narsinghji and Patal Bhairva Ji
Bird Park
Located near the Bhimkali Temple, Bird Park is one of the major tourist attraction of the town. It serves as a pheasant breeding centre. The Bird Park is the home of the State bird Jujurana and Monal which are the major attraction of the park.
Bhaba Valley
Located at the distance of about 50 kms from Sarahan, Bhaba Valley is one of the most popular tourist attraction of this region. It is located in the east of river Sutlej, in Kinnaur district. It is one of the favorite trekking destination of this region. The valley offers the splendid view of the picturesque surroundings.
Roghi Village
Situated at the distance of about 83.3 kms from Sarahan, Roghi Village is one of the most scenic village in Kinnaur District. It is known for its ethnic culture and tradition and the apple orchards, enjoy the nature walk through the enchanting surroundings.
